CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF CARING! AWARD PROGRAM
The "Caught In The Act Of Caring!" card program is a great way to reward fellow team members whom you see providing exceptional customer service and or caring acts in the workplace and in the community.
The program is designed to foster a caring and service-oriented culture within Cornerstone by encouraging team members to provide exceptional team member and customer service, which goes "above and beyond the call of duty."
Cornerstone team members are encouraged to participate in this recognition program. You don't have to limit yourself to an act your have seen personally. If you see someone giving a client or team member great service, you can nominate them for the award. If you are lucky enough, or caring enough to receive a reward, be sure to display it where everyone can see it.
Here's a reminder of how the program works:
- You "catch" a team member giving you or someone else outstanding customer service above and beyond the call of duty.
- You complete a "Caught In The Act Of Caring!" nomination form and send it to Cornerstone Cares. Or give it to a Cornerstone Cares Committee member.
- The nomination is authenticated and added to the monthly drawling. We will draw one name each month for the monthly reward.
- The Committee will then present the nomination and the reward to the employee.
It's that easy! We are excited about this program and hope that this year will be the best year yet! Remember, "What gets rewarded gets repeated."
December 2010 - Lisa Knous
John and I would like to nominate Lisa Knous for the caught in the act of caring award. Lisa has demonstrated a servants heart in her new role at Cornerstone. During this big change for her she has managed to keep a positive attitude and go the extra mile for her fellow coworkers. She is also very active in the Dade City community with many charitable organizations. It is that kind of heart that we feel makes her a great example of a "caring" person ~John and Julie Faulkner.

October 2010 - Chris Lee
"I would like to nominate Chris Lee... While our mechanic was out, Chris would come in early, service equipment, patch tires, mix fuel... All while managing his fert and pest duties, account management, and putting out the weekly maintenance schedule. He is truly an example as the "nuts-n-bolts" of the Sarasota Bradenton branch. Whatever we lack, Chris fills the void! I am so fortunate to work along side a man with such a dynamic work ethic. Credit to Chris for serving with impeccable tenacity and zeal!" - Michael Willard

September 2010 - Raymond Alexander
Ramon Alexander is always ready to give a helping hand even if he has lots going on, he will stop and see to your needs any day. I nominate him for the cornerstone cares – Abel Tapia

August 2010 - Chip Powell
We are proud to announce the August Caught in the Act of Caring Award Winner – Chip Powell!
Chip was surprise awarded this morning at a Bradenton staff meeting. I think we can all agree that Chip well deserves this award for always being willing to make things right, and keeping a level head through tough situations. Thanks Chip for all you do here at Cornerstone! Here is his nomination letter: " I would like to nominate Chip Powell for the Cornerstone Caught in the Act of Caring Award. Chip serves as the Regional Manager in the Bradenton office. He is willing to do whatever it takes to make our branch successful. Last week we began a new significant project, Turtle Rock. Chip was onsite all day (alongside Michael Willard, Account Manager) to ensure the crews met expectations and made an exceptional first impression. A couple of
days later he was out with another team member trimming and pruning trees (that had been incorrectly done by a subcontractor) in another large community.
Then to finish off the week he was out helping distribute and pack shell on a project. All of these were tasks that could have been delegated to another
member but his willingness to jump in and work alongside the crews makes a huge difference. Chip's willingness to listen and caring attitude ensure that all
team members feel important. Chip demonstrates what a good leader is made of and has been instrumental in our branches growth and success. Chip is not only
our leader but our friend. He is most deserving of this award."- Pam Lutz

July 2010 - Jose Uribe
Check out July’s Caught in the Act of Caring award recipient….JoseUribe, who exemplifies a caring, hardworking employee. His nomination
was based on many great feedbacks from our clients including the email below:
Congratulations Jose!
Hi Jay: I would like for you to recognize one of your employees as “outstanding”! Jose has been to my townhome in Hampton Chase twice and is so polite, happy, courteous, pleasant, conscientious, and seems to really enjoy his position within the Cornerstone Company. He is willing to learn new trades and is a real asset to you. You should be very proud of him and his work ethic. His types are few and far between and are to be cherished as part of the work force when found. I only wish our country had more of this type of employee to pull from. I
work in sales in the corporate world and have seen practicallyeverything you can imagine regarding workers, etc. I feel that our
employees in service positions i.e. delivery trucks, repairmen, contractors, etc. are our ambassadors to our paying customers because
they see the customers more than we usually do.. An employee of thiscaliber also adds a sense of trust or pride to the company aura whichmakes it easier for you as a company to sell your “wares” Well, enough of that! Thank you so much for pleasantly addressing my issues
with the roof leak, etc. and we in Hampton Chase are proud thatCornerstone is on board with CAMS. Cheers to all!
Sincerely,Polly Ellinor - Account Manager
Helena Chemical Company
